Three Parallel Competitions

Conducted simultaneously from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, November 09, 2026.

Note: Competitions run concurrently. Each participant may enter only one competition.

Outdoor Maradana Zone 2:15 PM – 5:00 PM

Street Photography Challenge

A timed outdoor street challenge across designated Maradana zones. Participants capture architectural lines, candid human moments, and ambient light under live time constraints.

Unedited camera RAW files submitted directly on-site at 5:15 PM. No digital editing or post-processing permitted.
College Auditorium 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM (75 Mins)

Theoretical Photography Quiz

Written examination testing camera optics, exposure mathematics, sensor geometry, lighting physics, and photographic history. Conducted individually in the main hall.

College Computer Labs (Photoshop) 2:15 PM – 4:45 PM (150 Mins)

Photo Manipulation Challenge

Live creative challenge held in the college computer labs where participants manipulate provided photos and assets using Adobe Photoshop to create an original visual artwork within the time limit.

Rules & Evaluation: Evaluated on Photoshop editing proficiency, composite blending, lighting realism, and creative concept. AI generative fill tools and automated plugins are strictly prohibited; participants must submit their layered PSD file.

Trophies, shields, and medals won at Oculus 2026 will be presented on stage during Pilibimbu ’26 (Annual Photography Exhibition & Awards Ceremony).

RULE 01
Parallel Competitions
All competitions run simultaneously. No student can participate in more than one competition.
RULE 02
School Team Size
Each school registers 1 to 6 students, divided across the parallel competitions.

Open to all recognized government, semi-government, and international school teams across Sri Lanka.
